“Fées, Rêves et Danse” with David Greilsammer at Ana Mandara Villas Da Lat

On the evening of July 10, 2025, the timeless French-colonial villas of Ana Mandara Villas Da Lat became an emotional rendezvous for more than 200 classical music lovers during the special concert, “Fées, Rêves et Danse” – a piano récital featuring pianist David Greilsammer.

The event was organized by Phố Bên Đồi, in collaboration with the Institut français du Vietnam, Ana Mandara Villas Da Lat, and C. Bechstein Vietnam – the renowned German piano maker. With a refined and inventive performance style, David Greilsammer – the acclaimed pianist and conductor – guided the audience through a transcendent musical journey, from contemplative introspection to powerful climaxes, featuring works by Ravel, Schumann, Gershwin, Purcell, and Debussy.

Emotional highlights of the night

One of the evening’s highlights was the Vietnam premiere of a new work by composer Georgie Ward, written especially for David. The audience was also deeply moved by the appearance and performance of young artist Vo Phuoc Loc Anh, whose presence added freshness and intergenerational connection to the musical space.

This was more than just a concert; it was a culturally significant event within the series “Dalat – UNESCO City of Music”, aimed at fostering cultural exchange between Vietnam and France through art.
